Most finance content in India is written for people who already know what a mutual fund is. Mine isn't. I'm Poonam Bhagat, and as FinTech Poonam I make personal finance content in Hindi for the audience that gets skipped over — students figuring out their first salary, homemakers managing a household budget, and salaried employees who've never had anyone explain a SIP without assuming they already understood one.
I cover investing, mutual funds, SIPs, the stock market, loans, insurance, tax planning, banking and wealth creation — but the format matters as much as the topic list. Every explanation is built around a real situation: an actual salary slip, an actual loan EMI, an actual tax form. That's the difference between content you watch and content you can use.
What I'm working toward: a version of financial literacy in India that doesn't depend on which language you're comfortable in, or how much you already know walking in.
